Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the delicious fish and chips, highlighting the light and crispy batter that perfectly envelops the fish. The cod and haddock served here are fresh and flavorful, creating a comforting meal that feels like home.

The extensive tea selection garners appreciation, making it an ideal complement to your meal. The affordability of the offerings, such as the Trawl Special at just £11.50, delivers exceptional value without sacrificing quality.

Friendly service consistently receives praise, with many guests enjoying the pleasant banter and personalized attention from staff, making every visit feel special. Families love the atmosphere and kids appreciate the dedicated children's menu.

Most Disliked

While The Trawl enjoys high ratings, some diners note occasional wait times during peak hours, especially in the busy summer months when tourism peaks in Bridlington. As a popular spot, it can fill up quickly, leading to a slightly longer visit than expected.

A few guests mention that the seating can feel somewhat tight when the restaurant is crowded, impacting the overall comfort during larger dinner rushes. Although it adds to the lively atmosphere, it might not be ideal for those seeking a more intimate dining experience.

Some patrons wish for more variety in the menu, hoping to see additional seafood selections or creative takes on traditional dishes to spice things up.

Absolutely delicious. The chips were crispy and the batter on the fish was light and crispy. Fish was beautiful and not greasy at all. Food was piping hot and the special was excellent value for money. £11.50 for cod, chips, bread and butter and a cup of tea. Portion size was just right and the service wa excellent. Couldn’t fault it. Would highly recommend

Nice little fish restaurant. Young lady who served us was very informative of which fish had skin on. We opted for the trawl special which came out super quick and piping hot. Would definitely go there again when next in Bridlington

Went yesterday with friends after a recommendation from a local retailer. It was like stepping back in time 😊 excellent personal service and fabulous fish and chips. The cod was delicious. Great family cafe and even our four legged friends are welcome. The Trawl special at £11.50 is great value for money - cod/haddock and chips, bread bun, tea/coffee/soft drink. We will definitely go again next time we are in Bridlington and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful fish and chips from here cooked to perfection. The chips are lightly crisp on the outside but lovely and fluffy inside while the fish whether that be cod or haddock is nicely moist inside not wet and mushy like some with white flakes of fish covered in the most tasty crispy batter you could wish for also the service from here and the banter is great I come with a few friends 2 or 3 times a year and look forward to coming here every time.

Good old fashioned fish and chips made from potatoes not frozen. Under valuing themselves on the price for the quantity and quality served. I would recommend for for food in the future as staff are friendly and have local knowledge of places to visit.
